Cornflower Pinkie – Cutting Variety 6 Jumbo Plug Plants
If you’re looking for a cornflower that brings charm, elegance, and long-lasting blooms to your garden or cutting patch, Cornflower ‘Pinkie’ is a must-grow. This variety is a classic cutting cornflower, bred specifically for its sturdy stems, abundant flowers, and vibrant pastel-pink tones. Whether you want delicate stems for bouquets, borders that pop, or a cutting garden that keeps giving, ‘Pinkie’ delivers in style.
‘Pinkie’ produces slender, strong stems topped with soft pink flowers that retain their shape beautifully in the vase. The colour is a subtle, romantic pastel pink — not too pale, not too bright — making it a versatile addition to any flower arrangement. Its blooms are densely petalled and long-lasting, making it ideal for cutting, gifting, or displaying at home.
As with all our plants, these cornflowers are grown in South Devon using peat-free compost to ensure robust, healthy plugs. We supply 6 jumbo plug plants, which are larger than standard seedlings and establish quickly in garden beds or containers. They are carefully packed in hado bags, which are either biodegradable or reusable, keeping your plants hydrated and protected during transit.
Why Cornflower ‘Pinkie’ Is a Garden Favourite
Cornflowers are incredibly popular with gardeners and florists alike for a reason. The strong, upright stems make arranging bouquets easy, while the abundance of blooms ensures a long cutting season. ‘Pinkie’ adds a soft, romantic note to any display, pairing beautifully with whites, soft blues, lavenders, and even brighter garden colours.
Pollinators love cornflowers too. Bees are especially attracted to the nectar-packed blooms, so planting ‘Pinkie’ is a great way to support local wildlife while enjoying a stunning display of colour.
In the garden, they are versatile and hardy, thriving in sunny, well-drained spots. Once established, they require minimal maintenance, rewarding you with continuous blooms throughout the cutting season. Whether in a mixed border, dedicated cutting patch, or large containers, these flowers offer height, colour, and a natural cottage-garden feel.

These charming pink cornflowers bring both colour and pollinator activity to your garden all season long.
