Ranunculus Cream

Ranunculus Cream is a gorgeous soft clotted cream shade perfect for cut flowers or as a gorgeous addition to your garden – a very welcome sight in early Spring!  We source the largest size corms (5/7) because they produce twice as many stems as smaller corms with fist sized flower heads and plants full of vigor to grow on healthily.

Water Ranunculus sparingly through Winter and protect from frost – allow lots of light and sun but do not grow during the warmer months.

Allow the flowers to develop on the plant – opening up fully three times before picking for the biggest blooms and best vase life.  Keep picking flowers to encourage more blooms.  In good conditions Ranunculus can produce from 8-15 stems per plant.

Supplied in 5/7 size as dehydrated corms ready to start in October under cover for early Spring flowers (March-April) or late Winter, Jan/February for later Spring flowers (May-June.)

10 corms per order supplied in brown paper bags, protect from rodents and frost.

Ranunculus are packaged into brown paper bags containing 10 dried corms ready to soak before planting or potting up.

We soak our corms for 3 hours in clean, fresh water.  DO NOT OVERSOAK YOUR CORMS OTHERWISE THEY WILL ROT.

We water sparingly until roots and green shoots are seen and the danger of rot has lessened.

When planting allow for good air circulation between plants, we allow 30cm.  Bright, cold conditions (frost free) are best for Ranunculus, they will not like shady damp conditions.
