Daucus Carota Dara – Cutting Variety

If you love natural, romantic, wildflower-inspired bouquets or relaxed, meadow-style planting in the garden, Daucus carota is one of the most enchanting filler flowers you can grow. Often mistaken for a more decorative, ornamental version of Ammi Majus, this beautiful umbellifer produces delicate, lacy flower heads in soft chocolates, antique blushes and occasionally pretty dusky pink tones. It brings an airy, whimsical feel to absolutely any space — and once you grow it, you’ll wonder how you ever arranged flowers or planned borders without it.

These plants are cutting-grade Daucus carota, grown here in South Devon in peat-free compost, and supplied as 6 strong jumbo plug plants in our biodegradable or reusable hado bags. These soft, airy fillers are perfect for bouquets, borders and naturalistic garden designs. They’re productive, elegant, and adored by florists for the movement, softness and structure they bring.

The stems are long, strong and beautifully shaped — each topped with a filigree of tiny florets that create a lacy, almost floating crown. In bouquets, they add instant elegance. In the garden, they attract pollinators and beneficial insects, creating a busy, buzzing ecosystem around your flower beds.
