Tanacetum Single (Feverfew) — 6 Jumbo Plug Plants

Charming “daisy-like” blooms with herbal benefits

If there’s one flower that brings smiles to our PYO visitors on the farm, it’s Tanacetum, also known as Feverfew. Its delicate white “daisy” blooms with bright yellow centres are endlessly cheerful, evoking sunny summer meadows. Children and adults alike call them “daisies,” and it’s no surprise — their petite, classic form and soft, bushy foliage make them irresistible in hand-picked bouquets or mixed cutting beds.

What makes Tanacetum Single extra special is that it’s both a cutting flower and a herb. Traditionally, feverfew has been used for medicinal purposes — historically for teas and natural remedies. Growing it in your garden gives you a plant that is multi-functional: beautiful for cutting and charming in borders, while also carrying a little herbal heritage.

We supply 6 jumbo plug plants, grown carefully on our South Devon farm in peat-free compost, hardened off in natural light and outdoor conditions. These are strong, garden-ready plants, not fragile seedlings, and they arrive in biodegradable or reusable Hado bags to protect roots during shipping.

Why Tanacetum Single is a favourite for cutting

  • Long, straight stems ideal for picking and arranging

  • Clusters of cheerful white daisy-like blooms

  • Airy, soft foliage adds texture to bouquets

  • Long-lasting in the vase when cut regularly

  • Pollinator-friendly and attracts bees and butterflies

Feverfew blooms continuously through summer, creating a steady supply of stems for cutting. The white petals paired with sunny yellow centres complement almost any other flower in a bouquet: pastel cosmos, scabious, statice, campanula, cornflowers, or even bold dahlias and rudbeckias.

Farm-grown & robust

Our Tanacetum Single plugs are grown outdoors, acclimatised to UK conditions, making them strong, reliable, and ready to thrive in your garden. Raised in peat-free compost, these plugs develop well-rooted, sturdy stems perfect for harvesting. Plants are naturally hardy, withstanding sun, wind, and light drought, which makes them forgiving and easy for home gardeners and commercial growers alike.

Shipping occurs mid–late March, weather dependent, with Royal Mail tracking so you know when your plants are on the way.

Planting & care

  • Position: Full sun is ideal; light shade tolerated

  • Soil: Free-draining soil preferred

  • Spacing: 25–30cm apart for healthy growth and airflow

  • Watering: Water well while establishing; drought-tolerant once settled

  • Feeding: A balanced feed occasionally encourages flowering

Tip: Regular picking encourages more blooms and keeps plants compact and bushy. Tanacetum Single is perfect for cutting gardens, borders, and mixed wildflower-style displays.

Flowering, versatility & herbal heritage

One of the delights of Feverfew is its dual-purpose nature:

  1. Cutting flower: Sturdy stems, long-lasting blooms, and classic “daisy” charm. A handful in a vase instantly brightens any room.

  2. Herb: Historically, Feverfew has been used in teas and home remedies. While most people grow it for flowers, its foliage carries a subtle herbal aroma and the plant’s heritage adds depth to your garden.

Blooms last well in bouquets, usually 5–7 days in water, and can be dried for arrangements if desired. The airy foliage provides natural filler in mixed bouquets, eliminating the need for additional greenery. Bees and other pollinators love it, making it not only beautiful but also a beneficial plant for your garden ecosystem.

Why you’ll love Tanacetum Single

  • Cheerful, daisy-like blooms in classic white and yellow

  • 6 jumbo plug plants, strong and UK-hardened

  • Grown in peat-free compost, sustainable and eco-friendly

  • Long-lasting in fresh bouquets, also suitable for drying

  • Pollinator-friendly and attracts beneficial insects

  • Multi-functional as both a cutting flower and herb

  • Easy to grow, low maintenance, and highly productive

Tanacetum Single is a must-have for anyone wanting a productive, charming, and multi-purpose plant. It combines the best of cottage-garden charm, cheerful cut flowers, and herbal tradition in one simple, delightful plant.
